Therapy is not a one-size-fits-all. My approach begins with a free consultation to understand where I can best support you individually or your organization. I have two approaches including Clinical Work and Professional Development. Each approach can serve a variety of needs.
For individuals looking for therapy support around mood, identity, life transitions, relationships, and more. These services will be done through Honey Creek Counseling making it possible to bill insurance and give the best clinical care possible.
For individuals looking to improve performance through increasing confidence, building mental performance skills, and overall joy of the games we play. For groups and organizations looking to build skills, resilience, and performance through workshops, talks, and ongoing support.
A clear, supportive path that starts small and builds toward what you need.
Reach out directly or use the link above to book a FREE 15-minute consultation regarding you, your child, or your organization. Here we will establish whether we will be doing Clinical Work, Sports Performance Psychology Coaching, or a combination of both. This call will be a place to build familiarity and space for honesty and tough conversations.
After our consultation, we will set up an Initial Intake and Diagnostic Session. This will be an hour-long session to get deeper into the struggles and all factors playing a role in your life. If you are choosing to work with your insurance, we will utilize Honey Creek Counseling's platforms at this point.
These will look different for everyone. We can meet virtually, in-person, or a mixture of both. We work with you to support the demands of your schedule and needs.

This work will be grounded in therapeutic techniques including Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), and a person-centered framework. I place strong emphasis on the role of families and home environments in promoting growth and emotional well-being. I believe the therapeutic relationship is the foundation of meaningful change—trust, safety, and collaboration open the door to healing. I will look to safely challenge you and possible negative opinions you have of yourself to build confidence and strength.
For individuals processing traumatic experiences, we take a slow trust based dive into how these experiences have impacted you and rewriting those impacts.
I believe everyone can benefit from therapy in some shape or form when given the right tools, environment, and relationship to do the work.
Through this work I take the ideas of Clinical Work and Sports Psychology and create a personalized plan to support you or your larger group and organization. This work is great for individuals that may not be struggling with serious mental health concerns, but want to lean more into Sports and Performance Psychology for their personal improvement.
While working with these individuals, we discuss ways mental health has been impacted through sports and high stress environments. By educating people on these terms we use in clinical work and in sports we bridge the gap between the two creating an environment where we still love to win, but then the process of creating winners is much more enjoyable and fulfilling.
In simple terms of what my philosophy is: We can still have competitive and tough environments that also support individuals mental health needs through education and openness. We do not need to traumatize athletes in order to build winners.
